Superior Foes of Spider-Man variant cover
This time’s warm-up sketch: #FearlessDefenders. I started reading it, and it’s rather fun and quirky. (I mean, it’s got a team of badass girls vs. Nordic zombies!) But that’s to be expected of Cullen Bunn, one of my favorite writers. I’m so lucky to be working with him now.
I love Misty’s afro, her no-BS attitude, and her freaking cyborg arm. If I were to do something more for it, it’d definitely be a sketch of Nerda, the most beautiful of all the Doom Maidens.
The comic needs more fans! Go check it out!
I swear to god
villains doing terribly normal and mundane things is my favorite so have some skeleton crew eating breakfast
I wanted to fit machinesmith in there too but it didn’t work out, let’s pretend he’s the one crossbones is talking to
You thought I’d forgotten, RIGHT? But no—here it is. What all five or so of my followers asked for, many months ago. A Paladin master post.
Ah, Paladin. Good old Paladin. Hunter of men. $uper $oldier of fortune. Forgotten love interest of Misty Knight. Have gun, will travel. My purple, cushioned-costumed king. What he lacks in scruples, he makes up in… uh… enthusiasm. For money. Do you like mercenaries? Do you prefer healthy pragmatism to blind idealism? Do you like the kind of character who is almost diametrically opposed to Spider-Man, but is forced to work with Spider-Man on a semi-regular basis anyway much to their mutual chagrin? Do you like your protagonists unburdened by an alignment to either good or evil, but with great taste in champagne? Do you like your protagonists as… Not so much protagonists, but bit-characters who usually finish the issue beaten, bloody and moaning softly on the floor while the heroes walk away in victory? Well then, Paladin might just be the man you’ve been waiting for! If you need more convincing, let me direct you to my Paladin tag.
Below the cut are download links for all of Paladin’s significant appearances (and then some), replete with enthusiastic descriptions written in the middle of the night by yours truly. Hit me up if anything needs fixing or re-uploading!
Look, it’s Captain America/Crossbones, and it’s, like, the most underrated shit in the world :’(
It’s a shame because it’s really plausible, like
- they’re both white males with handsome physique!
- they’ve know each other for a while, you know???
- they mostly appear in same comics
- they’re, like, counterparts of each other! and that’s hotttttttttttttt!!
- they have a height difference!
- obviously they’ve wanted each other for a while now, have you seen their dynamic????
But what I really love about this pairing is that while it’s so sexy sexy unf (Brock’s leather!) is that it’s also so tragic! I mean, Crossbones’ a nazi assassin and Cap is an all-American hero and they can never give in to their longings no matter what!! This doesn’t happen in comics (or anywhere) often and I love itttt even though it breaks my heart so!
Okay so now my headcanons:
- they, like, do kinky leather things all the time!
- with brock’s guns!
- and steev’s shield!
- and incorporate nazi memorabilia into their rp unfffffff
- steev pulls on brock’s hair sometimes
But the problem is nobody but me ships it! I can’t find any art or any fic - nothing!! :(
LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN TUMBLR
I’ve answered your prayers.
I struggled a bit with the anatomy but in the end it turned out pretty good, probably the best thing I’ve drawn in years. Took me 3 whole days to finish!
asdsjkhjkfdh that is so hottttt yess!
consider making it a print? i’d love to have your work on a shirt!
I did Lockjaw sketches for Hero Initiative’s #wakeupanddraw event!
its the year 2014 and I don’t even want my favorites to show up in comics anymore because of the fear of them having shitty characterization or being killed
I honestly have no idea why the Harry Osborn drug arc is so highly acclaimed, because Peter Parker, supposedly the outlet for the writer’s opinion on the matter, shows next to no support or sympathy towards Harry. He repeatedly uses the word “weak” to describe Harry and demonstrates obvious disgust. Is this something you should want to inspire in readers.
What this arc, and bits of it overlapping with Gwen’s death do teach, however, is that revenge is more important than friends (best freinds!) in need.
I need responilbe adult help!!!
I compulsively bought these two guys at a grocery store, bad idea, I know, but here we are.
They’re in a pretty sad shape I think but I’ve never owned a potted plant so
do I replant them or what
please help these $3-for-two hyacinths survive the winter
I actually haven’t read any of his creator-owned (or possibly other?) stuff but I’m sure he can do little wrong tbh
[do correct me if i shouldnt’ve assumed that]
